It all started with our great grandfather, the well-known fisherman Mr. Karl Andreassen and his record catch of herring in 1948.
The clean, cold Arctic sea just outside the doorstep has provided our family with a livelihood for many decades. As 4th generation we have learned to appreciate the value of healthy food provided by the cleanest ocean in the world.
Norway is well-known for high quality fish and fish products. Eating fish is the best way to consume a various number of nutrients our body needs for optimal function and health. Especially the marine omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, which support the structure and function of every cell in our bodies. We are dependent on these fatty acids but cannot produce them our self. Despite the growing awareness of nutrition and the benefits of omega-3, our normal diet, in general, often lacks enough omega-3. We need to increase the amount either through increased fish consumption or through regular intake of omega-3 as dietary supplement.
Even with an upbringing that thought us the health benefits of eating fish, and a long family tradition tied to the fishing industry, we find it challenging to consume enough fish to secure the recommended levels of daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids. By recognizing this problem, we realized that more people like us missed out on the important nutrition crucial for our health. Good nutrition is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle. Combined with physical activity, you reduce the risk of chronic diseases and promote your overall health.
Prioritizing your health is crucial to be able to stay on top in a busy lifestyle. By eating healthy and exercising, your body is given the optimal conditions to perform. You need both, you will not achieve your optimal health, if you just exercise and you will not stay healthy if your only focus is healthy eating and no exercise.
Our desire to inspire to a healthy lifestyle by adding enough omega-3 in your diet is what lead us to founding Arctic Superhealth AS. We offer high quality dietary supplement made form marine omega-3 oil, extracted from the livers of fresh cod fish, caught in the wild off the coast of Norway during spawning season, in the clean, ice-cold waters of the Arctic.
